The next print issue of Farm & Fiber Knits will be released in the fall of 2025. The annual issue is packed with articles and patterns that connect readers with the landscapes, animals, and people who create our fiber from the ground up. From these deep roots springs great hope.
Whether it is a rare sheep breed that has been saved, a historic woolen mill that still produces local yarns, or an endangered textile tradition that has found its way onto our knitting needles, wonderful things are happening in the natural fiber community. We love connecting knitters with the stories behind their stitches. Do you have article or design ideas? We’d love to hear from you!
This fall issue will be steeped in rich colors and natural textures. We love classic colorwork, well-placed cables, and traditional texture stitches that bring a familiar feel to modern knitwear. Think cozy fabrics and motifs that accentuate the natural texture of the fibers we love. The collection will have a wide variety of accessories and thoughtfully designed garments in inclusive sizing. Please use our handy submissions form to propose design ideas. Feel free to suggest a yarn that would be a great fit for your proposal. (Yarn support is provided for selected designs.)

You’ll be notified if your design is chosen by November 25, 2024.
Finished projects and patterns are due March 31, 2025.
